Important news + celebrating 10k downloads!

Hi everyone!

Lovewood just surpassed 10 000 downloads!! Which is huge to me!! The idea that thousands of people found a bit of joy in the stories of Liebwald is amazing, thank you so much for giving it a chance ❤️

As a way to celebrate, I've added the Lovewood artbook to the game's download section. Here's how that works:

Anyone who donated at least 1€ to the game's page can download the digital artbook as a piece of bonus content. This should also work retroactively for anyone who donated when they picked up the game in the past - though if it doesn't, please let me know in the comments of this post.

The game itself is still free, and it will stay like this. Nothing's changing there.

The Lovewood artbook includes some behind-the-scenes info about the making of the game, including lots of sketches and bonus art of the characters. It previously had its own page here, and I think I may just leave it intact for now, but as it turns out Itch isn't a great site to promote books, it's about games (shocking, I know)! Adding the artbook to Lovewood's download section feels a bit more sensible to me, since people may actually notice that it exists now.

As for other news, I am still making progress on the next game, Invisible Seams, which will take place in the same setting as Lovewood and focus on Moth as its protagonist! My current self-imposed goal is to release the game on June 16th, just like Lovewood, but I'm not going to cut corners if that deadline turns out too tight - My main goal is to deliver a well-polished story. (Wouldn't that be nicely satisfying though, to release it exactly one year after the first game came out? I would dig that.)

If you want to follow along with the game's development, I frequently yell about it on theLovewood Tumblr and on Mastodon.ART.

Now I'll be vanishing back in my hobbit hole.
Thank you so much for your support, and stay safe out there. 🌻
